As a long-time follower of Gary Vee and someone whose goals aligned with his NFT vision, I flew from Malaysia to the United States to attend the first-ever VeeCon, a VeeFriends community event held in Minnesota. Gary had been a digital mentor to me for years, and this was my chance to see him and the community he built — in real life.

During the event, an artist named Trenkyy created a 1-of-1 VeeFriends rug exclusively for VeeCon. Gary Vee personally signed the rug during the event. The artist hosted a blind auction — and I ended up winning. The difference between my winning bid and the second-highest bidder was 0.3 ETH, making the victory feel even more surreal. That piece instantly became more than just a collectible — it became a timestamp of that once-in-a-lifetime moment.

I had the honour of being invited to speak at an NFT/Web3 community event hosted by M1nted Asia, one of the largest and most active NFT communities in Malaysia. As someone who had been actively engaging in the VeeFriends and local NFT space, I delivered a keynote on the topic "To Hold or To Flip?", exploring the emotional, strategic and community angles of holding onto vs. flipping NFTs. It marked my transition from audience to contributor.

I designed it in a way that allows it to hang proudly on my wall — not just as protection, but as a centrepiece of my personal collector's space.
